Anna-Kate is a friend. She did not however start out that way. She started out as a client, someone I had never met. Then one afternoon with her for her session and the deal was sealed, we were friends. Since you now know the beginning and the end of the story , let me fill you in on the middle.

Anna-Kate contacted me to let me know that she wanted some fashion portraits done. After we talked about the look she was going for – Vintage, Glam (she was a extra in the movie Titanic!) I had a few weeks to think about what I wanted to achieve in her pictures.

The day of her session we spent the first part having  her hair and make -up done. We she was fully glam and ready to go we headed out  to spend the afternoon at a number of different locations. This is my favorite part. 3 hours with Anna-Kate were so awesome.  This lovely girl was really up for anything.  She let me drag her into weeds, break into a movie theater, and then sneak into a unfinished construction project to get the look I really wanted.  In the course of the day I learned all sorts of awesome facts about her -  She knows how to swing dance ( like REALLY knows how) and she is taking salsa dancing lessons. She has been an extra in several movies, She loves loves loves animals. She is down to earth, spiritual, grounded and grateful. Everything about her was so unbelievably refreshing.
