When I was in first grade I went to a private school. That year I remember a fundraiser for our school was a elaborate garage sale, and I begged my mom to take me. I found a old nightgown , but to me it looked like a princess dress. It had spaghetti straps and it was floor length (on my 1st grade body ) and it was some horrible polyester material in mint green and pink. I loved it. Dress up, no matter where the clothes come from or how fancy they are is magical when you are a kid. Simply putting on a costume, really does take your imagination to a new place.
If you follow my blog, then you probably recognize this little girl – Emily. Her family has hired me several times to capture various moments for them and when they asked me to photograph her 4th birthday princess party- well how could I refuse?! The theme was of course- princesses, and all the little girls got to dress up and drink tea and play games and learn about all the different Disney’s princesses. The amazing cake was not only delicious but adorable too.
One VERY important fact that I know miss Emily would want me to share with you is how much she LOVES pony’s and horses. She received so many as gifts she could have started her own stable.
Miss Emily and the rest of your lovely family, thank you again for having me capture your memories!!
xoxo
Allie
