Baby smiles and sunlight in the woods … Hurst family session! Murrieta Family Photography

One of the best parts of being a photographer is the relationships you build with your clients. This family is a perfect example.

I first met this couple when Katie was still expecting .. and photographed her maternity sessions here. Then once Cole was born I got to meet him and photographed his newborn session here. A few months later I was lucky enough to see how much he had grown and got to photograph Cole here.  When Katie  emailed me to have me photograph Cole’s 6 month photo’s and the entire family I could not wait. I have come to consider this family my friends, and Cole has a special place in my heart .. I love this little boy.

One of the best parts for me during this shoot was to see just how amazing these two parents are … They are all smiles whenever they look at there son, and Cole ALWAYS returns the favor ;)

A Anniversary, Trash the dress & Engagement session all rolled into one! Torrey pines wedding photography

When Lauren contacted me to do pictures of her and her hubby for there 2 year anniversary, we immediately set a plan in motion to create a session that she and her hubby would love. In the course of planning she shared that her wedding pictures from a few years ago were disappointing and so we decided to recreate some wedding pictures AND a more casual side of this awesome couple.

When the day of the session arrived and I saw Lauren step out of her car dressed in her beautiful wedding dress .. all I could think was “what a gorgeous bride!”.   I am sure 2 years ago her hubby Jared thought the exact same thing when he saw his bride for the first time.

Both of these two are the kind of down to earth couple you cant help but immediately like.  Maybe it is the childhood they both share growing up in the south, or the strong family values they share .. whatever the reason this is what my mom would refer to as “good people”.

Lauren & Jared, thank you for spending the afternoon with me and letting me create a wedding session you can love!

The Craft family … baby + dog = bliss … Sherman Oaks Family portraits

The first time I met Ashley she came along to keep one of her best  friends company during a session with me. By the end of the session I learned that we had tons of things in common .. including our shared obsession with our dogs :)  And then she told me that she was pregnant. Not long after we became facebook pals and I was able to watch the remainder of her pregnancy and the arrival of her baby boy Wyatt into her and her hubby Daniel’s family.  So even though she lives  far away, I was able to witness all the new stages of her family’s growth.  So when she contacted me to photograph Wyatt’s 6 month pictures .. I was stunned. Had that much time really gone by?!

Spending the afternoon with them, was like re-connecting with a old friend.  Easy, fun, relaxed.  Somehow these two parents have managed to make having a new baby look unbelievably easy, and it is hard for me to believe they have not always been parents. Wyatt is seriously the most adorable happy little boy, and his laugh was a constant source of smiles for all of us :)

Craft family .. thank you so much for for letting me capture this amazing time in your life. I love watching Wyatt grow :)
