Rufina & Ray had one of the most beautiful intimate wedding’s I photographed in 2012. At a stunning private estate, overlooking a beach side lagoon surrounded by just close family and friends they said “I Do”.

Not to sound like a creepy stalker photographer – but if I were planning on a wedding re-do I would TOTALLY have copied everything Rufina planned. The lace dress, the succulents and rustic vintage decor, it was full of my kind of style and I was totally in love from the moment I walked through the door.

Rufina and Ray are also the kind of easy going couple that I love to photograph – so easy going in fact that we almost all ended up arrested. Wait .. what?! Rufina wanted photo’s on a very off limits private lagoon and the only way to get there was to hike across some train tracks ( also illegal) and down a steep mountain .. so of course we did what any photographer would do who loves your clients – I said “let’s go”! . Ray carried Rufina ( super hero hubby) so she did not need to ruin her shoes, and we did the hike until we ended up in the Lagoon. After 30 minutes of INCREDIBLE shots we started to head back and came face to face with a VERY unhappy cop – who escorted us off the property while contemplating how he was going to deal with us. Thankfully he decided that ruining a brides wedding day was bad luck so he let us go
