Adored: Colleen and Kris, An anniversary session in Joshua Tree
An adored session is something every couple should experience, and since Colleen and Kris are very special to me I could not have imagined a better way to launch my new adored website than by sharing this story.
The wedding day I documented for them solidified WHY I am a photographer who tells the story of love. I doubt a single person who attended that wedding left without crying tears of happiness. I think a love story should be told not just on the wedding day, but the continued chapters that happen long after the wedding day is over. For their anniversary session, I envisioned a place full of light so soft it would radiate with the story of their first year of marriage. I gave them some “homework” so that when the day of the session arrived they had endless surprises in store for one another and I was able to photograph a real experience of joy and remembrance on the first year of marriage they had shared. The most amazing team of people contributed to this session, but none of it would have been possible without the true stars, Colleen and Kris and the beautiful marriage they share.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped contribute to this beautiful session:

Grace and Jeff – Love in Laguna – Surf and Sand Resort Wedding Photographer – Part One

I knew from the moment I shot Grace and Jeff’s engagement session that we would be friends. When their wedding day arrived for a beautiful bright and early morning wedding I jumped out of bed with excitement at 4am because if you have to get up that early, at least I was doing it for something awesome!

The moment Grace stepped into her dress I got butterflies because I couldn’t wait to see Jeff’s reaction when he saw her, and Jeff did not disappoint. I know men don’t like to admit when they cry but a first look that involved tears from both of them was pretty amazing. Just when I think that the day can not get anymore emotional they bared their hearts to their closest family and friends at their ceremony.

And like I say, all good things should end with food and cake. These two had an amazing spread that rivals one of the best brunches I’ve ever had!

Grace and Jeff – thank you for sharing your friendship with me, I can’t wait to see you guys again!
