How cute are Chelta and Chris? I had the pleasure of photographing these two at their wedding venue…which is gorgeous. It’s no secret that one of my favorite places on Earth is Palm Springs, there is something about the amazing light hitting the mountains that make it the perfect backdrop for an engagement session. Chelta and Chris are so in love and excited to be getting married, I think it shows in these photos so I don’t even need to explain that. Thanks for such a fun day in Palm Springs! Amy and Michael are awesome. In fact I am pretty sure Amy is my TV/BOOK soulmate. Amy loves Arrested Development, “Because there is always money in the banana stand” and one of her all time favorite books is The Great Gatsby! This Kentucky native requested a gardenesque Great Gatsby themed engagement session and I was more than happy to oblige. After a little bit of research, a few craft projects and some help from one of my favorite event coordinators, Evelyn Francesca Events and Design, we were good to go! I plan on going to see The Great Gatsby in the movie theater, pigging out on popcorn, and dedicating my night to Amy and Michael….I hope you’ll do the same! Can’t wait for your wedding day Amy and Michael!!

Rob + Jenn – Part Two, A Destination Wedding – Philadelphia Wedding Photographer

A few things that make me happy: Traveling, corn fields, and an adorable couple to photograph. Those three things made my trip to Philadelphia an amazing one! I was so blessed to be asked to shoot Rob and Jenn’s wedding this past winter and I was welcomed with such open arms by all of their close family and friends at this ridiculously fun wedding weekend. Rob and Jenn are obsessed with all things movie and T.V. related…especially “Full House”. Since Rob works for T.V. Guide and knows literally THOUSANDS of celebrities it did not come as a surprise when during their reception Rob and Jenn shared a large autographed photo from John Stamos and read a personal email from him congratulating them on their wedding day. They then dedicated their first dance to John, it was awesome! I may be a California girl at heart but there is something very captivating about the East Coast and getting to drag a bride and groom into corn fields at sunset. Rob and Jenn – thank you for letting me be apart of something so wonderful!

Hudson is very special to my family, he is my son’s best friend. Getting to watch our boys grow up together and change so quickly is something I am grateful for everyday, along with our friendship with Hudson’s fabulous parents, Tabitha and Brian.

Important facts that you should know about Hudson-

1. His nicknames are Huddy and Crazy Baby

2. We call him Crazy Baby because of his crazy baby hair

3. He is an adventurer; always excited for new things

4. He loves his dogs

5. His laugh is contagious…especially when he shows his cute little teeth

Anne + Andrew Engaged – Dom Perignon in Palm Springs

The best part about an engagement session is finding out what things a couple loves to do together, even better is when you learn that they love Palm Springs just as much as you do. Anne and Andrew brought more than just their gorgeous love story to their engagement session, they also brought along an incredible bottle of Dom Perignon that they had been saving to celebrate…these are definitely my kind of people. Anne and Andrew, I had so much fun hanging out with you, can’t wait to see you again!

Kirsten and Ali – Maternity

The first time I photographed Kirsten was before she was even married. From the moment we met I knew we were going to be great friends. It has been wonderful seeing all the exciting things that have happened in her life over the last couple of years, her marriage to her husband and now the upcoming birth of their first baby. I never thought I would be considered an expert on anything having to do with babies but now that I have one myself it’s amazing that new parents might actually trust my advise (since I still have no idea what I am doing most of the time!) That’s honestly one of the best parts of being a new parent, and I know Kirsten and Ali will agree when this baby comes….everyday is a new adventure! The only goal is to make it to the next day, eventually these two will have great advise for their friends too.

Kirsten, you are gorgeous, my friend, pregnancy is beautiful on you. Thank you both for letting me document such a special time in your life, I can’t wait to meet him!

From the moment Courtney and Phil met God was at the center of their relationship. They fell in love while being a part of their church’s music program and they continued the theme by building a strong Faith based relationship which was present in even the smallest of details on their wedding day. From the vows that they shared when they said I do, to their heartfelt speeches to one another during their reception, the sincerity for the love they felt for each other was visible to everyone at their wedding and myself as well. Any time your wedding photographer starts crying during your speech is usually a good sign that we are overwhelmed by something so beautiful too. Courtney and Phil, thank you for letting me be a part of such an emotional and beautiful wedding day….love you both!
