Sometimes regardless of how much you plan, things go awry. And sometimes the most unexpected changes result in the most extraordinary endings. Case and point – this engagement session.

Dianna is like me – a planner. We spent forever looking for and researching the “Perfect” location for her engagement session. When the day of the shoot arrived, we met up at the location only to be told totally different information about getting permission to shoot at the location – and suddenly we were left without a place to have her shoot.  When you have a couple all dressed and ready to go – you don’t send them home over something as small as a location issue. You find a new location. So with fading light and unfamiliar surroundings Dianna and Trevor followed me while I drove around until something grabbed my attention.  That something ended up being one of the most amazing new locations I have found in a long time!

I knew at that moment, I loved this couple. I loved that they were easy going enough to roll with the change and I loved that they trusted me enough to make the session awesome.  Sometimes when life throws you for a loop you have to be ready and embrace it !

Dianna & Trevor have the most amazing chemistry. They literally rocked my socks off … that is how much fun I had getting to photograph such a beautiful love story for these two.  Not to mention, when a couple loves each other this much it does not matter where you end up – and that is part of the recipe for a happy life together!

The first time I met Jenessa she had just gotten married. Amazing how many things change in life in such a short time – since then her and hubby Derek welcomed baby Prestynn to there perfect family, and I was the lucky one who was able to photograph both the maternity and newborn session for this beautiful little girl. Prestynn is leaving the baby world however and heading full force ahead to her first year .. so when Jenessa asked me to photograph her 6 month old session I was thrilled. Every time I see this little love bug she gets even more adorable – I know for a fact her parent’s agree with me on this When life hands you such a beautiful blessing it is amazing how fast that time goes by, so I am sure if I think Prestynn is growing up fast I can only imagine what her mom & dad feel about this!

Colleen & Kris are my kind of people. They are madly in love with each other, they like to hike, they look like they walked out of a anthropologie catalog .. but more important than any of those things .. they like food. In fact they are self professed “foodie’s”.  If you have had a chance to read my about me page on my website, you know that I too am a “foodie”. This culture of people understand that we can carry on conversations for HOURS about all the different kinds of things we like to eat and the small little non-chain restaurants we love to visit.

When it came time to plan out their engagement session they had one request: A farm style location. Fitting right? Farm-ish = food  I am just SLIGHTLY obsessed with the amount of awesome these two brought along to their session – and I had so much fun getting to hang out with my fellow foodie people.
